Here is a good post about shopping your local yarn stores. It really makes sense.

PPIV 53 / 24

My nephew loves his new socks. These are pair 24 for PPIV52

Vickie Howell's New Yarn

Vickie Howell has a new line of yarn coming out in June 2011 called Sheep(ish). She is working with Caron International and you will be able to buy the yarn from them . The yarn will also be carried by JoAnn's and Herrschners.
The colors look wonderful !! Looking foward to trying this yarn out. Look for future post about this yarn.

Vickie also has a new blog called The Mothercraft .

You can see the colors for the yarn and link to the new blog from here.

Dish Towel Sets

Pattern for the towel toppers came from Mary Maxim's Apple Towel Toppers kit. This was suppose to be a Christmas present but was on backorder so I didn't receive it until after the holidays. Kit came with one towel and one skein of cotton yarn.

I then used the pattern to make 4 towels for my daughter Joan. As her kitchen is black and red , I used Lionbrand cotton in black for the toppers and was still able to make 2 dishclothes to go with the towels
